Fast Foods Slow You Down

We are living in a fast paced life. We need fast cars, we need fast internet, and we need data plans that give lightening speeds. In short, we are running very fast in our lives today. In this process, we have also found foods that we call fast foods, but did you know that fast foods are not actually fast? Did you know that fast foods slow you down?
All taste and no nutrition
Fast foods have little to no nutritional value and we just eat these for the taste. The processing, the preservatives and the chemicals, make it very difficult to digest. When you eat them, you get no energy, instead they give you ‘ama’ which is a toxic material that cause of many diseases in the body.
Ultimately, you end up feeling fatigued, lazy, weak and low on energy all the time. When the ama is produced it blocks channels and restricts the flow of energy in the body that is why I say fast-foods slow you down.
Healthy Fast Foods
If you really want to eat something that does not take too long to prepare, I can suggest you some really good foods that are superfast. Eat a fresh fruits like banana, apple or some nuts, seeds, raisins or cashew nuts, they are full of nutrition and very easy to digest.
In Ayurveda, there is a very popular recipe called kitchari which is very fast to cook and very nutritious than burger or pizza you will ever eat. You can put some rice in a cooker, some ghee, a few vegetables cut finely and cook it. Eat it warm and you will feel full and satisfied. You can drink a cup lukewarm milk with a pinch of cinnamon, turmeric and a teaspoon of honey and drink it before bed. It will give you good sleep at night and the next morning you will clear bowels. Drinking this every night will also give you nutrition.
Use your Pragya (Intelligence) 
Fizzy drinks, cold drinks, or fast foods that you eat from road-side eateries do not give you much nutrition. You don’t have to eat anything that does not give you nutrition. So, be careful and use your intelligence (Pragya) and always eat food that are not only fast but also very nutritious.
